About acl books

Alison Lenox, Executive Director, acl books

Several years back while Alison was working O’Bway, a fellow castmate noticed she always seemed to be in the know about how to get work in regional & NYC theatre. She always seemed to be one step ahead of the game. Curious, he asked her what her secret was, and with a twinkle in her eye, she reached into her bag and pulled out what would be become the Regional & Off-Broadway Theatre Guide. Back then it was a loose pile of personal research from various sources that Alison put together for herself but now, 7 years later, there are 2 books; the aforementioned Regional guide and the Summer Theatre Guide. The books are sold in stores in Manhattan and Los Angeles and through mail order.

Along with publishing the guidebooks and pursuing her acting career, Alison also has her own virtual assistant business. She works with small companies and organizations that don’t have their own office or staff and handles their administrative duties.

Alison has a BFA from Mason Gross, Rutgers University and has worked in regional theatre as well as NYC and is delighted to share the guidebooks with you!
